Field Trip: My School(theme)

A field trip was organized for our dear children to sensitize them for the ongoing theme ' My School". We visited our sister concern Oakridge International School, Gachibowli. The learning began as soon as they stepped into the premises of Oakridge International School.
They were introduced to the security who welcomed them warmly at the gate. After which they were taken near the mango tree where they had their rhyme session, they were then taken around the school, first to the play ground where they had running race and frog race amongst themselves which they really enjoyed.. to see their radiant faces please check out the "SELFIE" taken by our student Saamer.
The students were then introduced to the Head Mistress, Coordinator, teachers and the helpers. We took the little ones to the "Toy Library", where they had a story corner where our teacher Vijaya had a story session, exploring the toy library with slides was exciting too.
They peeped into the class rooms and it ended with the group picture. It was a great fun-filled learning trip for children.

Raksha Bandhan Celebrations @ Oi Banjara Hills

Children at OI Playschool Banjara Hills celebrated Raksha Bandhan on August 7th, to strengthen the bond of love and foster the feeling of sharing and caring between brothers and sisters. The excitement of the day could be seen on the faces of the little ones, fancied up in traditional dresses.

The school was vividly decorated with colorful ribbons and cut-outs on this special occasion by our Oi Parents Varsha & Swathi Agarwal(Parents of Navya & Harsheel Agarwal), which added to the spirit of the day.

A special assembly was conducted by our parents (Varsha & Swathi) who told the students the significance of Raksha Bandhan where the sisters tie the auspicious Rakhi on the wrist of their brothers. A Puja Thali is prepared which comprises of the Rakhi, vermillion along with few grains of rice (for Tilak). Apart from this,a Ladoo is also included which is fed to the brother. Tying a Rakhi on brother’s wrist symbolizes that he will take care of his sister for the lifetime and also promise to protect her always. After which Our dear student Navya tied rakhi on Harsheel's wrist (Navya's Cousin) and gifts were exchanged thereafter.

The Rakhi day crafts included handmade Rakhi by our dear students which they thoroughly enjoyed.

Overall the day was fun filled.

Mrs.Shruti helped in decorating the event corners in the premises and organized a few activities and fun games for both, grandparents and children. Yellow being the theme of event, entire event corner was decorated with yellow decors and glaze papers. The motive of celebrating theme color day is to make children learn one new color with every event. Well! Grandparents enjoyed watching their grandchildren learning in fun. And the event was closed by presenting a yellow smiley printed cup to the grandparents, as memory.

My Family

The children were taken for a field trip based on the ongoing theme “MY Family”. They visited Harsheel and Navya’s (cousins & Nursery students of Oi) home. Here, they were all warmly welcomed by Harsheel & Navya’s great grandmother, grandmother, grandfather, mother & Father, uncle/aunty, brother/sister and the cousins. Our little ones introduced themselves to the family.
These beautiful moments were captured on camera. Well, the trip was a great success as the children learn a lot about the concept of a Big & Small family and came back with the feeling " we belong". Thank you Moms Swati and Varsha for this heartwarming experience.
